Role type: 0.5 FTE (part-time), permanent

Salary: £36,000-£42,500 (this will be pro-rata'd to reflect 0.5 FTE)

You will be contracted to work 42 weeks of the year, 35 weeks of which being our contact time and a further 4 weeks will be directed during half terms to complete other activities such as course writing, marking, revision sessions etc. The timing of directed weeks/hours will be confirmed, and staff will be off for the remainder of the half terms. It is expected that staff will work the necessary hours to fulfil their duties and responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching &amp; Learning:

 Teach Music and possibly other subjects within the performing arts department or other faculty areas programmes, ensuring lessons are engaging, challenging, and inclusive. 
 Plan and deliver high-quality online lessons that support the development of reading, writing, analytical, and communication skills. 
 Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet the needs of diverse international learners. 
 Promote high expectations, academic ambition, and a positive learning environment. 

Assessment &amp; Reporting:

 Mark student work accurately and in line with exam-board and assessment criteria. 
 Provide timely, constructive feedback that supports student improvement and exam readiness. 
 Contribute to internal assessment processes, mock examinations, and revision programmes as required. 
 Complete reports, references, and other student-related documentation accurately and on time. 

Curriculum Contribution &amp; Professional Practice:

 Contribute to the development and review of English resources, schemes of work, and online learning materials. 
 Engage with current research and best practice in pedagogy and online teaching, applying this to classroom practice. 
 Participate actively in CPD, departmental collaboration, and whole-school meetings. 
 Support the wider learning community by sharing ideas, resources, and effective practice. 

Pastoral &amp; Professional Responsibilities:

 Promote the well-being, progress, and safeguarding of all students. 
 Provide academic guidance and support to students, including advice on next steps and pathways.

Primary Schools across Haringey, North London are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher to join their teams for September 2026. This Primary Teacher position is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to secure a role ahead of the new academic year.

As a Primary Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, support pupil development, and maintain high expectations across the classroom. The successful Primary Teacher will be confident teaching across the curriculum and adapting lessons to meet a range of abilities.

Primary Teacher Responsibilities

Planning and delivering lessons as a Primary Teacher

Monitoring and assessing progress as a Primary Teacher

Supporting Pupils Of All Abilities As a Primary Teacher

Maintaining strong behaviour management as a Primary Teacher

Working collaboratively with staff as a Primary Teacher

Creating an engaging learning environment as a Primary Teacher

Join Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp), the premiere online learning platform that connects K-12 students in the US, Canada, and across Asia with tutors from top Universities and Colleges for personalized lessons. As a tutor for Cosmo 1:1, you will have a flexible and consistent schedule that you set. For this role you'll be teaching ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum.

This is the perfect opportunity for experienced educators to connect with students in an after school setting. You will meet with your students at a set time each week for 50 minute 1 on 1 lessons. As a Cosmo 1:1 tutor you will build a welcoming and fun learning environment for your student as you help them grow. It is important for our teachers to be reliable role models for our students who come to class well prepared, on time, and with a passionate and kind demeanor.

This is an independent contractor position. The pay rate for this position is $20 USD per class plus additional incentives.

Cosmo Teacher Responsibilities:

Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
Communicate with Cosmo staff

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree
3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in ELA
Experience with K-12 ELA standards and curriculum
Experience teaching ESL learners
Teaching qualification preferred but not required
Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo1:1
Available between 8 AM-2 PM GMT on Monday through Friday or 5 AM - 2 PM GMT on the weekends
Minimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basis
Access to a private and quiet location
Passion for helping students learn
Currently located in the UK

What You'll Do

Evaluate AI-generated explanations, lessons, and tutoring responses for accuracy and pedagogical quality
Create clear, well-structured educational content across your subject areas
Identify errors, gaps, or misleading information in AI-produced learning materials
Rate AI responses on clarity, helpfulness, and age-appropriateness
Provide structured feedback to improve how AI explains and teaches concepts
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

Teaching, tutoring, or instructional experience in any subject area (maths, science, languages, humanities, exam prep, etc.)
Strong ability to explain complex topics in simple, clear language
Excellent written communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Comfortable evaluating educational content at scale
No prior AI or technical experience required

Nice to Have

QTS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching certification
Experience with curriculum development or instructional design
Familiarity with multiple Key Stages, GCSEs, A-Levels, or IB
Subject matter expertise in STEM, languages, or humanities
