Job description

Please note this is a TEMPORARY role until end of March 2022 please do not apply if you are looking for a permanent role, the hours are 35 hours a week (full time)

Main Purpose

To assist the Admissions Department in providing support on a number of customer service, conversion and administrative activities, within the fast paced environment of Admissions.

Main Activities and responsibilities

* Inputting admissions decisions into the relevant system and issuing offers to applicants.

* To be the main contact for Admissions enquiries via email, live chat, phones

* Liaising with departmental admissions tutors and other professional services where necessary, (i.e. interviews, quals check etc), ensuring that applications continue to progress through the process at a suitable pace.

* Identify where additional information is required and liaise with prospective students accordingly.

* To utilise positive and effective communications skills to provide a customer focused and efficient information and advice service to applicants and potential applicants about the full range of educational opportunities offered by the University and to enhance the conversion of applicants to enrolled students.

* All actions must be taken in accordance with regulations, policy, guidelines and deadlines laid down by the University and by government and external agencies, for example, UCAS, GDPR, UKVI etc

* To accurately capture and up-date enquiry records within the CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) system

* To assist all Admission team members in conductions outbound activities to chase candidates for their requirements, including outstanding documents and criminal convictions in order for applications to move to an outcome stage.

* To undertake such duties as electronic filing and updating student records

Any other duties as required by the Admissions Managers

* An understanding of the Higher Education application process, and of UCAS and UTT (desirable)
