North Gate is proud to be supporting a highly respected privately owned consultancy focused on providing specialist architectural and construction dispute resolution, claims and expert witness services in the UK and internationally. The business currently provides specialist services as architect experts, architect adjudicators, architect arbitrators, dispute board members and mediators as well as a full range of architect's services.

This opportunity is suitable for a Senior level Architect with existing expertise in the area of Dispute Resolution, and will enable the individual to become an Expert Witness through the support of the company, which is well known amongst the major legal firms and the construction fraternity.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in the design and construction of a wide range of building types, good technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and will have experience of contentious disputes and ideally be dual qualified in law or be willing to undertake additional training within this specialist field. The ideal qualities of this person will be:

* UK Registered Architect / RIBA

* At least 20 years post qualification experience as an Architect

* Experience of acting in the capacity of expert and/or in forensic investigation supporting experts

* Experience in the technical aspects of architectural design, production information and specifications

* Experience with construction contracts, NEC, JCT, FIDIC etc.

* Experience on site overseeing design management and value engineering

* Experience of architectural management

* Very good written and verbal English language skills

* Analytical approach to problems

* An enquiring mind

* Knowledge of the legal process - construction law

* Experience of construction dispute resolution an advantage
