Currently we are seeking a professional to join us as Chief Accountant in the Finance Team in UK.

Requirements

CCAB qualified or equivalent.
Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and FRS 102.
Very strong experience in fintech sector
Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and lead schedules.
Very good communication, interpersonal skills and customer focus.
Fluent in English - Experience in a similar position in accounting and finance.
Experience in banking / fintech sector / EMIs.
Fluency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel and Power Point.

Responsibilities

Financial Management.
Ensure that sound processes and procedures are in place to ensure financial transactions are recorded in an accurate, timely and complete manner.
Ensure that accurate and timely financial accounts are maintained in accordance with established relevant local Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
Ensure all transactions and relevant adjustments are booked on a monthly basis, oversee but also being hands-on when preparing the accounting ledgers within ZEN; ensuring monthly reviews and reconciliations are performed.
Review month end templates of ZEN and to ensure adherence to ZEN’s month end procedures. Follow up on any queries and oversee training and support as necessary.
Ensure that staff expenses, cash advances and corporate credit card transactions are processed accurately, completely and in a timely manner, and in accordance with ZEN accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure revaluation of balances held in a foreign currency (e.g. bank accounts, sales ledger, inter-company accounts) are conducted on a monthly basis.
Review ZEN’s bank register, ensuring that signatories are kept up to date, and that appropriate security levels are in place.
Manage ZEN’s inter entity funds transfer process.
Reconciliations of Balance sheet codes.
Bookkeeping where necessary.
