Financial Accountant Required in Dubai

Ceto Talent is supporting a UK public sector organisation in the appointment of a fully qualified Financial Accountant for a short-term contract assignment. This role will support core financial reporting activity, audit delivery, and month/year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and support of month-end and year-end financial accounts
Supporting internal and external audit activity
Contributing to strategic financial decision-making
Providing credible financial advice to senior stakeholders
Ensuring strong financial governance and value-for-money outcomes

Essential Skills & Experience

Fully qualified accountant within a CCAB-recognised body
Strong post-qualification experience in financial accounting
Proven experience of:
Month-end and year-end close
Audit preparation and delivery
Public sector or comparable regulated environments
Strong Excel capability
Confident communicator with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders
Commercially aware with a clear focus on value for money
Able to work independently, problem-solve, and deliver at pace
Proactive, resilient, and results-oriented

Desirable Experience

Previous line management of finance colleagues
Interest or exposure to the private security or public protection sectors

Qualifications (Essential)

Relevant professional accountancy qualification (CCAB)
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience
