Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Waiter/Waitress role based in Central London. The role involves welcoming guests, presenting menus, answering questions about food and beverages, and providing recommendations as needed. You will take accurate orders, relay them to the kitchen or bar, serve food and drinks promptly, and ensure tables are properly set and cleared. Daily tasks include processing payments, handling cash or card transactions, and following company procedures for billing and receipts. You will maintain cleanliness in the dining area, adhere to health and safety standards, and coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver a smooth service. The role also requires responding to guest requests, managing complaints professionally, and supporting colleagues during busy periods.

Qualifications

Strong customer service skills, including a friendly demeanor, active listening, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Good communication skills, with clear spoken English and the ability to interact confidently with guests and team members.
Basic numeracy skills for handling payments, bills, and cash or card transactions accurately.
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, carry trays safely, and follow health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, bar, or similar hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Reliable time management, punctuality, and flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and readiness to work as part of a diverse, collaborative team.
Right to work in the UK and, if applicable, any necessary food hygiene & safety, allergy, or hospitality certifications are an advantage.
