The role

The post is in the Resources Directorate and within the Transactional Services Team. You will assist in the effective management of the finance transactional services contract and any retained functions. The contract covers a wide range of transactions including payment to suppliers and the collection and recovery of debts from customers.

This is a brand-new team, and you will be responsible for the development, management and supervision of 4 Backlog Officers working within the busy Accounts Receivable team. Your primary role is collection and recovery of ring-fenced sundry and leaseholder debt and associated administrative functions, for both Richmond and Wandsworth. This includes some interaction with our contactor dealing with outsourced work. You must have a 'can do' attitude and will need to be organised and have excellent time management skills. You will preferably have knowledge & experience gained within a finance-based environment. Alongside this you must have effective communication skills, ability to report on and produce performance statistics, work to deadlines and be confident in using MS Word and Excel.

Whilst all staff are currently working from home, there is a requirement to work one day a week in the office. Training, meetings, and updates will be via Microsoft Teams or in person in the office.
