On behalf of Lloyds Banking Group, AMS are looking for a Senior Actuarial Manager for a 6 month contract based remotely.
Purpose of the Role:
Provide insight, high quality developments, advice and guidance by operating as an R specialist within an Actuarial Change Team. You will contribute to actuarial design solutions, working with other internal teams to understand and refine requirements, deliver developments in R and R Shiny and work alongside other actuarial colleagues and developers to enhance and improve key tools and processes to support our bulk annuity business.
As a Senior Actuarial Manager you will be responsible for:
You will use your development and actuarial experience to create new solutions in R and RShiny, improve existing systems built in R and R Shiny, as well as providing guidance and insight to key internal customer teams.
Act as a source of specialist expertise in R and R Shiny and in actuarial modelling techniques (ideally with some experience of bulk annuities)
Collaborate with internal teams to produce designs that deliver for users
Mentor and coach junior team members in a range of skills and behaviours including actuarial and technical coding techniques
Positively influence others by demonstrating core Lloyds Banking Group values and behaviours
What we require from the candidate:
In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for detail and spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator.
You will be committed to writing clean, understandable code
Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures, guidelines and governance requirements
You will be committed to working consistently with the principles of agile delivery (the SCRUM framework)
Lloyds Banking Group will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
